Trying my hand at stone carving with pneumatic chisel
Artist: Jason Brammer (Our nephew) - Website: www.JasonBrammer.com
In addition to paintings, Jason has created mixed media, painting installations for art exhibitions as well as permanent site-specific installations for commercial spaces. His largest permanent installation to date is at the I.V. Lab Recording Studio in Chicago. This installation, titled The Future Is Recording Over My Pasture, consists of 6 large paintings on canvas, connecting mural artwork, tubing, wood constructions, antique pulleys, and other integrated objects. Jason also does a lot of commissioned paintings, murals, album artwork, band posters, and more. His most recent commissions include a large, exterior mural titled United We Flowin Rogers Park, Chicago and concert posters for the bands My Morning Jacket as well as Robert Plant & The Band Of Joy.
Jason made this piece for clients of ours who are really into sailing. He incorporated actual parts from their old sail boat, including the handles, pulley, and marlin twine, and painted an antique nautical map into the “window” of the painting.
Time Machine LXXIII (Mapping Consciousness ) Acrylic, Gauche, Antique Hardware, Salvaged Wood, Recycled Leather, Metal, and Twine on Artist Panel, 43.5” x 42.5” (total size). Location: Private residence in Chicago, IL.
This is an original concert poster design for the band My Morning Jacket. A limited edition of 134 posters were sold at the concert on October 22, 2010 at Terminal 5 in New York City. At this show, they played their whole album "Z", so the concept for the poster is that the band is a mechanical power station that is powering a future city off in the distance and the window to this futuristic city is "Z".The poster design was based on Jason’s original painting of the same title, “My Morning Jacket: Powering The Future”.

Necessity is the plea for

human freedom. It is the

Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program. Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon Torah of Economics : There is no such thing as a free lunch, and all the rest is merely explanation Basic fallacy : it is possible to do good with others people's money Thank God for Government's unlimited ability to waste The major monetary metal in history is silver, not gold.” & especially not fiat paper. Columbus did not seek a new route to the Indies in response to a majority directive. Governments never LEARN. Only people LEARN. Hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat scorned.
Paper money always returns to its intrinsic value – zero.
It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong In general, the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other. Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities The history of the great events of this world are scarcely more than the history of crime To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize
